Inspired Sculpture

Whangarei Heads is an area rich in Maori legend. It has seen some of the bloodiest battles in Maori history. In the past it was the site of numerous settlements, both Maori and Pakhia, but it was abandoned because it was considered too dangerous a place to live. War canoes visited the harbour then as frequently as the dolphins, orca and whales frequent the estuary today. In spite of it's violent history people have always returned ... maybe because of it's stunning beauty or the bounty of the water that surrounds it. Amazing coast line and majestic peaks are around every corner. It is a truly inspiring place to live and of course, to work.
